The breakfast was good, the place is well situated, and the staff were helpful; however, I was mistakenly charged for parking, which was fixed quickly, but the refund hasn't hit my account yet. There's also a weird odor in the hotel, probably because the carpet is hard to clean.

The beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious and clean; the location wasn't great and some parts feel very outdated.

We had an exceptional stay at the Beresford Arms: the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the location was perfect for exploring San Francisco; everything was comfortable and pleasant, especially after the issues we had at our previous hotel. Honestly, there was very little we didn't like; everything ran smoothly and the staff remained kind and helpful, though some areas of the hotel have an older, classic feel, which we thought added to its charm.

The hotel is in Liberty style, distinctive and very welcoming. We loved the space in the hall where breakfast is served—comfortable, relaxing, almost like a home living room. The breakfast was excellent, especially the brioche, the best we had in the U.S., and all the other pastries were really good. The afternoon refreshment offered to guests was also very pleasant and appreciated. Overall, we liked the hotel a lot and definitely recommend it, especially given the great value for money in San Francisco. The downside is the area: around the hotel we encountered many homeless people and several drug users, which can be somewhat uncomfortable, especially at night. Regarding breakfast, the sweet side is great, but there is no savory option at all, which would be welcome for those who prefer a less sweet start.
