The food was wonderful and the chef fantastic; the staff were courteous and kind. The accommodation was much higher quality than we expected for such a rural setting, truly top‑tier. However, the wellness was important to us, and the description didn’t make clear that the wellness area wasn’t accessible indoors – we had to go outside. The indoor jacuzzi didn’t work, and the outdoor one was unusable because it was cold.

The staff were the nicest we’ve ever met on any of our stays. The facilities matched the description and I was satisfied with them. The gym is really well equipped, not the usual hotel gym. The food was excellent; we tried a few dishes and each one was amazing. I highly recommend the cheesecake. The shower gel/shampoo was limited in quantity, so having separate shampoo and shower gel would be better.
