“خيبة امل”

The facilities and location were fine, but the experience was disappointing and not at all worthy of a five‑star hotel. We stayed for three nights and faced a series of recurring issues: first, the room we received differed from the one we booked, so we had to inform them immediately and they swapped it for us. Second, the next day we had a serious water leak in the room, with water dripping from the ceiling due to a problem on the upper floor, so the floor was soaked and we slipped in the dark – it could have been a serious injury. When we reported it in the morning, the staff only changed the room and offered a superficial apology, treating us like a regular apartment guest rather than a luxury hotel guest who should meet high safety and hospitality standards. Third, on the third day the fridge broke; we discovered it was not working, and after inspection it was replaced. In short, three nights that should have been comfortable and luxurious turned into a string of complaints and maintenance requests. The biggest frustration was not just the repeated problems but the lack of genuine concern from management. We received no apology that matched the situation, nor a small gesture showing the hotel values its guests, especially after the water leak that threatened our safety. We chose this hotel because we were familiar with the high standards of Dusit worldwide and paid a high price, but the experience was far from what we expected. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a five‑star experience in Cairo. The price suggests a luxury hotel, but the service level and handling of issues do not even reach two stars in my opinion. The positives: the location in the Fifth Settlement is excellent, close to most venues and events, and the view is nice, especially since we booked a pool‑view room. Unfortunately, these positives do not compensate for the poor experience or weak response, especially regarding guest safety.

The upscale culinary offering is fantastic, and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive.
