“Nice hotel, nice beach.”
The hotel was nice and had been renovated recently; the staff were very friendly, there was free roofed parking, the pool was great, the food was okay, and the beach was a short walk away and pleasant. We could buy sun umbrellas much cheaper at the reception. Downtown is easier to reach by car, and there was free parking there too. Every morning at 5:00 a council worker came and swept the street with an extremely loud leaf vacuum, followed by a street‑sweeping machine at 5:30; the first one woke me up, and just as I managed to fall back asleep, the sweeper truck woke me again—after that I couldn't get back to sleep at all. The streets are wonderfully clean this way, but people come to the seaside (Bibione) to relax, and this was extremely disturbing. On top of that, breakfast at the hotel was only served until 9:30, so there wasn’t really any chance to sleep in a little, as you would miss breakfast. My suggestion would be to do the street cleaning during the day, and to serve breakfast until 10:30, as most hotels do. The wifi was useless; we had to use our own mobile network.
