⭐☆☆☆☆ – I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others about Happy Shack. From the moment we arrived, the property was nothing like what the website and various online listings (including AI‑generated suggestions on ChatGPT and Claude) promised. The rooms were wooden, unclean, and had a strong, unpleasant smell. The supposed “garden view” didn’t exist—there was no garden at all. The Seaview Restaurant, highlighted as a key attraction, was still under construction and visibly neglected. The photos seemed to come from neighboring properties, not Happy Shack itself. The glowing reviews online are wildly inconsistent with reality, and I suspect they’re not genuine. This isn’t just a case of expectations being slightly off—it’s a blatant misrepresentation. Travelers deserve accurate information before spending their money. Do your research before booking. Don’t let polished photos and curated reviews fool you the way they did us. On the bright side, the management did arrange an alternative sea‑facing accommodation that was genuinely pleasant. However, navigating this at 10 pm with my family—including a 4‑year‑old—after a long day was exhausting, stressful, and entirely avoidable. I still paid the same amount I’d originally booked for Happy Shack, so there was no compensation for the inconvenience. My sincere advice to the owners: stop misrepresenting what doesn’t exist. If Happy Shack is still under development, say so honestly. Invest in actually building the property you’re advertising before inviting guests. A family’s holiday isn’t the place to test an unfinished, unhygienic space. Transparency and integrity cost nothing, but the lack of it cost us our peace of mind.

Nothing good to say. The staff were rude.

The welcome was very friendly and family‑like. The location is on a beautiful beach with sun beds available. The wooden bungalow has a terrace in a garden, good air conditioning, and the restaurant is delicious (especially the grilled fish if you order the day before). The value for money is excellent for both the bungalow and the restaurant.

Nothing good to say. The water was cold when there should have been hot water, it was never clean, the reception was deplorable, it was expensive for what it was, and there was no banking terminal forcing me to pay in cash with a commission. I don’t understand why they’re listed when other beach establishments are much better, cheaper, and not on Booking.
