“Simple, soulless, clean place to stay in the centre”
I booked a tiny room with an ensuite in the heart of Zadar’s old town. The spot was unbeatable, the room was clean, lightly furnished, and just enough for a single night. The bathroom had shower gel and the kitchen offered instant coffee and tea, which I liked. Getting in was straightforward with clear instructions. On the downside, the windows were so small that the room felt dark and offered no view. There was no place to stash bags—no space around the bed to lay a suitcase. I felt the price was steep for such a cramped, sparse room, but that’s the local market.
