“Hostile staff. Bugs in shower. No housekeeping. Dangerous area. DO NOT STAY HERE!!”

Pool was nice. Staff are very hostile if you report an issue. We had bugs in the shower, bathroom light wouldn’t switch off, no safe in the room and even though it stated breakfast included, it was just a $10 voucher for the whole room, not per person. We then changed rooms once reporting the bugs but even though we kept requesting for housekeeping we did not get housekeeping for the whole 8 days we were there. Area is VERY dangerous with homeless people and drug usage on every corner. They then stated that there were no ‘bed bugs’ even though I said bugs in the shower so they clearly didn’t even bother reading the complaint properly. They then said they can give us back £77 each (we paid over £1,000) and upon rejecting this and correcting them about the bugs and stating I have video evidence they have now flat out rejected all communication and no compensation for their dirtiness and hostility towards us while there. Do NOT recommend staying here!! Photo added is just a screenshot of the video taken of the bugs which were all around the drain and going up the wall

The staff and security made me feel safe as a single woman walking around the neighborhood at night. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy after dark, but it is in San Francisco.

“Good for a night, next time I’ll be staying elsewhere.”

Just a quick note: the place is close to downtown, but the ATM failed to dispense cash and I was charged. The staff said the hotel couldn't help because I was “robbed” of the money. The room was sweltering and the window wouldn’t open, and the receptionist was rude.

The hotel quality exceeded my expectations with comfortable rooms and excellent dining. The staff were cheerful and very helpful. The location is central and close to public transport, but there are many homeless people nearby, some with obvious mental health or physical issues. They didn’t cause us any trouble, but it was disheartening to see them without any support.

The rooms were spacious, but the bathrooms were old and not renovated, and cleaning didn’t happen daily. Breakfast was chaotic—each day you’re charged for something different, the food on the plate varies in type or amount even when you order the same, and the staff weren’t very friendly. The area around the hotel is full of homeless people.
