Everything else was very good and we were welcomed very warmly, but a break‑in happened in our friend’s room and both phones were stolen; we also had a break‑in attempt. Maybe the security measures could be tightened.

Excellent lakeside location, helpful staff, and a good breakfast.

A very relaxed spot with an easy walk into town, superb and helpful staff, tasty and reasonably priced food, and after three days exploring the town I think this is the best place to stay in Nkhata Bay.

The restaurant area was lovely, and from our 4‑bed dorm ensuite we could see the lake. The staff were very helpful, even arranging tickets for the Ilala Ferry.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and spacious. Chairs on the balcony overlooked the lake, and the shower used solar hot water. A compost toilet was present but didn’t smell. Frequent power cuts are typical of Malawi. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were far too bulky. The restaurant/lounge area had a nice outlook, and the food was reasonable, though a bit pricey compared to town restaurants.
