I stumbled on this old gem while driving east and back; the décor is charming and the location is convenient for a road trip. The manager, a girl who wasn’t always present, was friendly, and parking was easy. The outdoor vibe was pleasant, and the room’s tiny fridge, bath, and micro amenities were adequate. The space was cramped, and the hardwood floors echoed loudly when people walked past my door. Getting into the room required multiple codes, which was a hassle. Staff were scarce, giving the place a “different” feel. I was lucky that the first night had no other guests, so it stayed quiet. The next night, other customers made the stairwell noisy with clattering shoes, and the couple in the room next to mine woke up and had sex, banging their bed against my headboard wall—unbelievable. The small bar was cute but didn’t offer any non‑alcoholic drinks.
