The location was excellent, very close to the metro and the Vatican – that’s the biggest advantage. The neighborhood was quiet, without disturbances or unpleasant spots. The price was very reasonable. On the ground floor of the building, there’s a pizza place that serves slices. Access to the premises was well organized – full, very clear instructions, also in video form, and the staff was very responsive. The room was very clean, tidied daily, which is rare in such places. Towels were replaced even during short stays. Coffee was available from the espresso machine in the room, refilled regularly. Chilled water was in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable and large. The double room was small, but that wasn’t a problem; there was plenty of space for two people. A folding chair would have been useful in the small room to avoid taking up space. The espresso machine seemed to need a service visit; there was a leaking water issue. The view from the window was quite poor – inside a high building, so it was dark even in the morning. On the upside, it was quieter than a room facing the street. Opening the window in the morning was troublesome – strong smells from the kitchen downstairs escaped through the outdoor air conditioning, but that’s not the owner’s fault.
