“Please carry out the upgrading as soon as you can because the location is excellent and to get people to come back to us”

The property was in a beautiful spot and the staff were excellent and helpful, though we asked for an earlier check‑in because of a wedding and one of the rooms was unavailable, causing a bit of inconvenience. The property clearly needs renovation and upgrading; the rooms could definitely use an upgrade, and at the moment I would rate it as two or three stars.

The country‑house vibe in a quiet spot comes with great food and service, but some areas still need updating; room 19 is poorly insulated against noise from the neighboring room.

“When the whole hotel has been refurbished it will be a wonderful place to stay.”

The location is lovely and the staff are very friendly, and the food is well presented, but we were told about ongoing building renovations, the hotel was dusty with a strong damp‑plaster smell, our room was dark, old‑fashioned and clearly needs refurbishment, and although we booked a superior double, it felt like a basic room.

“Lovely stay in fabulous hotel”

The hotel is beautiful and the location lovely; the staff are excellent and welcoming, the room is spotlessly clean and breakfast superb. No radiator was on, but a heater in the room fixed that; the shower curtain rings were missing so I used the bath to avoid a wet floor. No real problem since we knew the rooms were being refitted; we’ll return to see the refurbished rooms.
