We stayed in August for two days in Venice, five of us. The two rooms were in the main building. The room for three people was very stylish and large, with a modern, huge rain‑shower bathroom. The room for two people was much smaller and its bathroom with a bathtub was somewhat outdated. I would recommend couples book a three‑person room. The breakfast was a bit sparse for my taste, but I was prepared for that, so everything was fine. Overall I liked almost everything and echo the other positive reviews. The location was very quiet and the staff very friendly. About 300 meters from the hotel is a COOP mini‑market and etc. The only thing that isn’t related to the hotel is the Vaporetto station. The choice of the hotel was mainly because of its proximity to this station, as we wanted to buy 48‑hour tickets from the start. We found that the station is only served by Line 1, which literally stops 100 to 150 meters away. It takes a long time to reach Markusplatz. Because of this, on the return we often walked to the Rialto Bridge before taking the water bus. For older people I would recommend accommodation near stations where Line 2 stops, as this line stops at every third or fourth station and is thus much faster.
