I was impressed by Isabel’s hospitality and the room’s cleanliness and comfort, especially the bed, duvet cover, and light bedspread. The fan was useful, and she helped when hot water was missing. Saint Michel’s bars and restaurants like Flou, Cères boulangerie, Il Teatro bar, and Grabuge bar restaurant were great, and the area is central with good public transport. However, I couldn’t do much about the temperature; arriving on a 43‑degree day made the room still very warm despite Isabel’s tips to keep it cool.

The location was good, and the staff were quick to respond when we arrived. The room met our expectations. The fan was a nice touch, but it didn’t help much during a heatwave.

This guesthouse is welcoming and accommodating, with beautifully decorated rooms that have everything you need for a short stay in Bordeaux. It’s easy to reach from the main station and just a short walk into the city centre.
