The view was truly rare and the bed was clean and comfortable, even if it felt a bit small. We arrived right at check‑in and the place looked abandoned; the maintenance guy only turned up after a couple of hours and didn’t even apologise. The kitchen was dirty and unpleasant to use, and getting there meant navigating a steep, winding road.

The owner was warm and friendly, the food was delicious, and we appreciated the quiet balcony room – it was the only place in three weeks where the alarm actually woke us. Finding the hostel was tricky, the road up is very steep, the balcony door wouldn’t close fully, the bed was small and creaked even when we didn’t move, and overall it felt a bit overpriced compared to the other 13 places we stayed at in Bolivia.
