“New staff needed ?”
We hit a wall right from the start when the hotel’s system got hacked and my details were stolen; an unknown number sent me a WhatsApp link, and the staff flat‑out denied any involvement. Check‑in was hostile, as if we were a nuisance. The room came with a dripping shower head that kept us awake all night, and in the morning the water was either boiling or freezing, with barely any pressure—just a trickle after turning the handle fully. The AC was also dead, and while the staff fixed that, the shower stayed broken. I tried to run the water a bit to clear the clog, but after two minutes the bathroom flooded because the drain was blocked. When I asked about cleaning, the manager blamed us for refusing it, even though we were out all day and left no “do not disturb” sign; they only cleaned after 5 pm, and the teacups were still dirty. Breakfast was a disaster: no sparkling water and a cappuccino that was already sweetened, a serious risk for a diabetic guest who wasn’t warned about the sugar. The elevator took 15–20 minutes to become usable, which was a major inconvenience on vacation. The manager’s passive‑aggressive blame game and laughter at our complaints were unacceptable, though she did send prosecco after we asked for it—an odd attempt at compensation.
