“Ok”
The place is very close to the free beach with showers. It was fairly clean, but there was noticeable dampness everywhere and a lot of mosquitoes. The owner has a nice garden and is very friendly, waiting for us at check‑in even though we were late. The property does not actually offer parking, contrary to what is listed on Booking. It advertised free parking, but the owner showed us a public parking spot by the beach where no cars moved the next day. He suggested parking on the yellow lines under his house, saying it was free for a few hours, but we couldn’t agree because only locals can park there and it would be disastrous for tourists. In the end we parked on the street with white lines, which are fully free for tourists, but it was stressful because the car was on the road. All shops close at 9 pm. Be careful with trains if you want to get from here to Monaco. From Valecrosi you need to go to Ventimiglia; by car it’s very close, but on foot it takes about 40 minutes. The train from Valecrosi to Ventimiglia runs very rarely: 9:20, 10:00, 16:45, the only connections without odd transfers. It’s better to take a bus or car to Ventimiglia and leave the car there. Then the train from Ventimiglia to Monaco runs every 30 minutes in both directions. If you’re traveling to Monaco by train, it’s better to stay in Ventimiglia or drive from here.
