The view from the window was amazing and the room felt comfy and well‑equipped. Our host was super friendly and even left a nice selection of breakfast goodies.

“Wonderful and relaxing stay”

Wendy, who lives on the property, asked what we needed and gave us breakfast supplies to cook ourselves, which we really liked, and she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The only hiccup was a mix‑up about self‑catering – the place isn’t set up for it and there’s no evening food at Boat Harbour Beach, something that could have been clearer. Still, there are restaurants a short drive away and a decent deli at the IGA in Wynyard.

The studio’s location was fantastic, with a gorgeous view and it was spotless when we arrived. Unfortunately the bed is showing its age; the mattress sags in the middle and could use a replacement.

“All up I was disappointed and wouldn’t book again”

The room was clean and the verandah offered a lovely outlook, but I was surprised to find it was essentially just a bedroom with a pantry tucked into an old wardrobe and a separate bathroom that doubles as a dish‑washing area. The décor feels a bit dated, access is via a keypad‑controlled ramp, and the bottom step of the stairs leading to the car was broken (the owner warned me about that).
