Guesthouse Tulipan sits on Lesce’s main road, a five‑minute walk from the pilgrimage church and the Lesce‑Bled train and bus station. Rooms feature cable TV, safe, minibar, private bathroom with toiletries and slippers, many offering views of the Julian Alps and Karavanke peaks. The on‑site restaurant serves Slovenian specialties, selected wines, and diet menus, complemented by a garden terrace.

The location was good and the lady who served us at the small lunch on the second day was nice. It needs renovation! Compared to other places we stayed at, it needs modernization, although the price is acceptable. The small lunch was weak. We stayed two nights. On the first night we dined at a nearby restaurant, saving the last night for dinner at the hotel because the reviews were good for the food. Since it was Sunday, the restaurant closed at 20:00 and the kitchen at 19:30. We were told this at 19:00. If we’d known this at check‑in or when I asked about the menu, I would have dined there on the first day. Given that, I asked if there were other nearby options and the answer was “maybe” 😪

The cleanliness was impeccable, the building was unique, I highly recommend it, and the mountain view was superb. Nothing to add.

The staff were great and the breakfast was good. The only problem was that there was no elevator.
