The room was stunningly beautiful and spacious, and everything you could need was available in the shared kitchen. The pool water, however, was quite cold.

The rooms are old but functional, and the facilities are well maintained; everything is in order. It isn’t close to Sintra, but you can’t expect everything for that price; it’s a wonderful spot, just a step away from Lisbon and Sintra.

The location felt oddly remote, close to the city and public services yet giving the vibe of being in the countryside. The large grounds and the animals on the estate added charm. Maria, the owner, is a lovely person, very attentive and always ready to help us arrange our visit. The breakfast was a bit basic and perhaps insufficient for the number of guests. The staff were very attentive, but you might need to anticipate questions and address potential shortcomings beforehand.
