“A beautiful chateau near the champagne region, with space for families”
The chateau itself looks just like a classic French chateau with a moat all around it. We stayed in the family suite in the old 'pigeon house', which had plenty of space for a family and was quiet. The pool was chilly but very refreshing after a hot day, and pool towels were provided. The wifi was excellent. At the end of our stay, the owner gave us a very comprehensive tour of the chateau and shared its history, which was really interesting. Cleaning could be improved; the bedding and towels were clean, but there were many spider webs (a problem if you’re scared) and the kitchen could have been cleaner. We had to put all of the cutlery through the dishwasher (handy) to clean it before use. There isn’t much in the village (no bakery or restaurants), so you have to drive out to buy bread for breakfast or to eat. Next time I’d probably book the chateau itself instead of the family room, which had absolutely beautiful rooms.
