The individual‑room building I stayed in was new, with a clean bath, toilet, washbasin, and room; the towels for the bath were provided, showing thoughtful care, and the price was low, giving great value. However, the building was clean overall, yet the shoe rack—especially the slipper area—smelled very bad, and the slippers themselves seemed dirty, so I wiped them with alcohol before wearing them. Also, the futon sheets had hair on them, which made me uneasy, so I took the pillow cover and sheets off at midnight and washed everything at the nearby coin laundry. If the hotel could provide pre‑washed sheets, it would reassure guests and prove they were cleaned.
