The pool and treadmill were nice, the beds were good, and the air‑conditioning was pleasant; the hotel worked well for a one‑night stop before heading into the Amazon. However, the hotel is noisy, with windows on the hallway side that are always brightly lit, and the curtains let in almost all the light; there’s a strange high step halfway through the rooms that you can’t use for a phone, the breakfast was mediocre, staff don’t speak English, and it definitely isn’t a five‑star hotel as advertised.

Breakfast was decent, the staff were very friendly, and they kept our equipment safe while we were in the Amazon, but there was no hot water.
