Smithville Historical Museum and Inn is a truly unique and charming place to stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and parking was conveniently located right there. We especially enjoyed staying on the upper floor.

Such a charming place! Loved the caretaker's tour of the museum and the house. He could, as he says, give an eight- hour talk on the place, and Smithville and Missouri. Actually, really fascinating history! Smithville is a charming little bitty town with a big history. The brew pubs that were open on a Monday looked lively and fun, but i just took a drive out to the lake and then came back and crashed. The AC is a lifesaver for a Colorado person, used to dry heat! The whole place is full of eclectic antiques and vintage items, the decor is charming! Generous bathroom, walk in shower. Nothing!

The museum tour was fantastic and the recommendations for ice cream at Nellie's Sweet Shoppe and meatballs at Welco Brewing were both spot on. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Enthusiastic owner. He can tell a beautiful story about the history of Smithville. Smithville is a quiet place where you can take a lovely evening walk. Maybe a bit too many chickens.
