The spot is gorgeous, and my cabin felt snug and ideal for a break. The only downside was the lack of light near the bed; I mentioned it at check‑out and they promised to add one.

The marina looks nice and there’s a cool pub with good food. The room was poorly cleaned: the floor wasn’t clean, there were large grease drips on the stove handles, and the team seemed understaffed—cleaning didn’t even start until we arrived. The bedroom smelled like diesel fuel, the place had potential but was kept in bad condition. The bed was very short and so firm that both of us kept sliding into the middle.

It was peaceful; one morning I woke before 7, sat on the dock, and the only sounds were waves, birds, and seals—refreshing. A good place to stay when we’re doing things around Ruby Lake and Skookumchuck Narrows. The late‑night nightclub party (maybe a wedding?) in Egmont was a bit noisy.

From the moment I arrived, Jennifer the manager and her coworker Devon were so wonderful. They helped me with my boat and trailer needs and I’m very grateful. Camillia in the restaurant/pub was also very nice. Great trip! I hope to do this again.

The staff and location were both outstanding. I booked last minute and wasn’t sure what to expect, but the gorgeous setting blew us away. We stayed in an Inn Room with an ocean view. Everyone we met over four days—other guests, staff, and locals—was warm and welcoming. The food at Backeddy Pub was fabulous, with fresh fish and chips and other great menu options, set over the water. A wonderful escape from city life in North Vancouver. The room was basic but fine since we didn’t plan to spend much time inside; we liked exploring outside. A freezer in the room’s fridge would improve convenience—there was no way to make ice, and although the Marina store sold it, there was nowhere to store it. Still, a freezer isn’t a deal‑breaker; everything else was wonderful.
