“Жахливо, категорично не рекомендую готель «Піги»!”

The breakfast was decent, but the worst stay I’ve had in the Carpathians. I absolutely do not recommend the “Pigi” hotel! The main problem isn’t just the horrible condition of the room, but also the rudeness of the staff, their denial of obvious faults, and a complete lack of customer orientation. 1. The booking was incorrect. I had requested a non‑attic room in advance, yet I received an attic, which the staff called a “special ceiling design.” A dark hole with a single tiny window, whereas my reservation showed a much larger, brighter, and tidier room with a larger stated area. 2. Dirt and malfunctions. The toilet shifted when someone sat on it; a broken shower holder almost fell on the head; water pooled in the sink; the TV and some lights didn’t work. The carpet was dirty, there was spiderwebs on the walls and spiders – all in a supposedly “prepared” room! 3. Absurd reaction from management. The front desk employee (a woman in a red jacket) rudely insisted the room was perfectly cleaned, and that the spiders were a result of the “special Tataryan climate,” which supposedly doesn’t exist in other Carpathian villages. When we suspected we had been given the wrong or unprepared room, we heard: “This is one of the best rooms in the hotel!” After that I doubted her assessment of the situation. Imagine the rest of the rooms. They offered to fix the issues by calling a plumber. Why should guests spend their holiday waiting for repairs instead of getting a ready room? 4. The price absolutely does not match the quality. We paid 4 750 UAH per night – this is not a budget option, but the mid‑price segment for the Carpathians in summer. We expected not luxury, but cleanliness, proper equipment, adherence to the booking, and respect. We didn’t get even that. 5. Refusal to refund. Because of the unacceptable conditions the next morning we moved out. The prepayment exceeded the cost of one night, but the unused difference was not returned, citing a commission.

The kitchen in the restaurant was incredibly tasty, and I especially appreciated the breakfasts; the staff were very polite and pleasant, and the location is surrounded by mountains and rivers—highly recommended! The only downside was that some rooms need cosmetic repairs, but overall it didn't affect the vacation.

The staff were very friendly, but that's all. The biggest disappointment was the bed, which squeaked with every movement, and the room itself needs repair; the heated pool was barely warm.

The location is amazing: everywhere you look, there's forest and mountains! A river nearby is great for a walk. If you’re going to the mountains for peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot. The grounds have swings and fire pits, and there's a private parking lot for guests with an electric car charging station. The room is clean with a nice view from the window. The pool is conveniently located, with separate towels for the pool and the shower—super handy. The heated pool has enough space for an adult to swim. We were lucky to catch the last warm evening with zero people in the pool, so it was just the two of us. The food was incredibly tasty! We ate breakfast and dinner only at this restaurant. The breakfast selection isn’t huge, but they’re very tasty and filling. The staff are friendly. In our room, the carpet was stained with paint, there were no slippers (they were eventually provided at reception, but they didn’t understand why they weren’t put in the room immediately). The bathroom tiles are so slippery that we almost slipped several times. The pool is a bit dirty, but perhaps that’s a feature of the location; we swam in the evening, and the wind brought small branches, pine needles, and maybe some insects.
