Comfortable Single Room in Belmore - Shared Bathroom

“No thanks”

The showers were always warm, the kitchen and bathroom stayed clean, and the bed was super comfy. But at night the side path was uneven, bushes hung low, and there was no lighting, making it hard to get around. On a few evenings the back door was left open, and I felt the security was a bit lax. Also, a car was parked just inside the fence line, not blocking the driveway, and a few neighbors seemed a bit rowdy.

The kitchen had plenty of supplies and the bathroom was new, which was nice. But the toilet was literally full of piss, and the staff were rude and wouldn't give me the code over the phone after I complained about a 14‑page form. I ended up waiting an hour in the lobby outside my room. The room was thin‑walled, so I could hear the neighbor like they were in my room, and the air‑conditioning was pointless—opening the window just let in more heat.

“Overall, a decent stay with some positives, but a few areas could be improved”

I liked having a fridge in my room and the balcony was a nice touch, though a little table outside would have made morning coffee easier. A small issue popped up during my stay but the staff fixed it fast, which I appreciated. The downside was the poor soundproofing—next door was loud, and a wall panel rattled at night, so I stuck a paper behind it to quiet it. Plus, it took about an hour to get to Sydney Central, which wasn't ideal for me.

The place felt very secure, but overall it was just very good.

It was cheap, which was great. The downside was Matt in the next room, who came home drunk and loud for a long time. He also forgot his phone, locked himself out, and from about 2 to 3 a.m. kept trying to force the door open. I ended up telling him to sleep in the bathroom.
