The views here are amazing and the staff are really friendly, but that's about where the positives end. The hotel's not exactly spotless - I slipped on the floor and broke my knee because they hadn't mopped it. Ouch.

This hotel feels really authentic, it's clear the owners are Indonesian and they're running it like a family business. The staff are friendly and welcoming, but I did notice they don't clean the rooms every day, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, it's great to support a local business and the hotel has a lot of character.

I spent eight days at Batu Rundung and loved every minute of it - even though I'm not a surfer. The rooms are huge, with comfy beds and amazing AC, plus the Wifi is strong and the shower is great. The sunsets from the balcony are stunning, and the new pool on the hill is a real treat. The staff are super friendly and flexible, and the food is good and plentiful. Yeah, it's probably a bit pricey, but it's competitive with other resorts on the island and this place has a lot going for it.
