“No lo recomiendo, no vayan, es muy sucio”

We arrived early in the morning, which we had informed the hotel about, and a 17‑year‑old boy who didn’t know what to do greeted us; we were put in a room where water leaked from the ceiling light directly into the toilet, the bed was covered in hair and fake eyelashes, it was clear the room had been used, and when we complained we were given another room that wasn’t what we had booked, plus the boy still seemed clueless. When it was time to pay, they started negotiating the price, even though the app had already shown the amount, and they ended up charging us twice as much; it was already 5 am after all the room changes. It was a terrible experience. The next morning we went to breakfast and the coffee cup had a red lipstick mark; I couldn’t eat because the bathroom was awful and disgusting. At that hour we had no way to change hotels. Nothing else pleased us.

“LAMENTABLE”

The only thing we liked was the location, just steps from the pyramids, and the property was nice and clean, but everything else fell apart. The staff were terrible, food service was slow and disgusting, everything was pre‑cooked and delayed. The cook was a teenage non‑English speaker who seemed incompetent; meals took hours and breakfast was the worst we’ve ever had – they served two raw eggs and called it an omelette, which was both lamentable and absurd. To make matters worse, our beautiful jacuzzi room had no hot water; they promised a fix, we waited two hours, and by midnight still got no answer. We were given a shower‑only room where the water was only lukewarm, and they never provided the promised jacuzzi replacement. The thin window insulation made the night impossible to sleep, turning what should have been a great night into the low point of the trip.

The location seems inviting because it faces the pyramids, but under the hotel it feels like a favela; the pyramids were barely visible because the room windows were super dirty, and the room was never cleaned for 3 days.

“La vie devant les pyramides de Gizeh”

I liked the location right in front of the pyramids and the proximity to all amenities, as well as the ease of walking to the pyramids in less than 15 minutes; otherwise, all the staff were very kind and attentive, the view from my room with the pyramids and a spa was magnificent and unforgettable. For me everything was perfect.

The staff are very friendly, speaking English and Arabic, even though they don’t speak Spanish, communication was always good; the breakfast was very tasty and always available, and at reception Mr Sherif answered all our questions. The room had a view of the pyramids. The location is a bit noisy, but if you want to experience full Cairo it’s ideal; the pyramids are very close, Cairo center is 30‑40 minutes away. The hotel offers tours and transportation at an affordable price.
