“Fantastic stay with friendly hosts”

We had a fantastic stay here. The hosts were very friendly and gave us some tea upon arrival. It was a great stop during our biking trip!

Charming place to stay with a very kind owner and her family. Everything was perfect; highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area.

The dog was noisy, reacting to sounds from everywhere, which was unexpectedly loud, and I feel sorry about that. The rice balls were, as everyone said, perfectly seasoned and very tasty. The miso soup was comforting, like returning home and relaxing. The toilet was warm, which surprised me—maybe it was the hot spring? Walking around, there was steam like in Beppu hot springs, and the free hot spring is rare in Hokkaido. I think this is a unique quality of Kitayuzawa, so I hope the locals keep it up for future generations. I’d be happy to visit again if given the chance. I was startled awake by the sound of a Japanese shield bug’s wings, but it wasn’t a big problem; nature is rich here.

“Wonderful staff and a great say I definitely recommend”

Our host was wonderful and the space was amazing. We woke up to a delicious breakfast every morning and the hospitality was the best. We had trouble getting a rental car which made things difficult but they were super helpful. It is a little out of the way of things which is fine if you have a car

The house and the room are nice and clean. The location is lovely, with a creek and a free onsen nearby. The staff is amazing, with genuinely warm hospitality. There's even a lovely breakfast served in the room. Unbelievable value!
