“De beaux souvenirs”

After being warmly guided and welcomed by our host, we explored Marseille without worrying about our car, which was safely parked in the private parking lot. Just a short walk from the old port, we could see this beautiful city with the helpful advice of a local resident, full of life and pleasant surprises. The room was very pleasant in a beautiful, quiet apartment despite its central location in this historic, bustling neighborhood. Breakfast was neat, friendly and generous. Thank you for the lovely memories we’ll keep from our first time in Marseille.

The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a curtain, and at night the lady turned off the lights, so we couldn’t get up in the dark; the wardrobe was in the bathroom, and the pillows were from a sofa. I tripped over a raised edge with a metal plate and had to go to medical care. The two garages for parking were closed. In the room there was a bottle of water, but I had to ask for it.

“Tolle Lage, schöne Wohnung, aber nicht kinderfreundlich”

The accommodation was beautifully decorated and in a great location. When we checked into our room, the floor was covered with long blonde hairs that were not noticeable. Both the bathroom and sleeping area were only sporadically cleaned before our arrival. The next day they were not cleaned again and no towels were changed. We found the host family to be unsympathetic and strict. Our 2‑year‑old daughter was not welcome, which was noticeably unpleasant. The price‑performance ratio is not right.
