The welcome was charming and personal, the restaurant where we dined and had breakfast (the traditional menu was exceptional in flavor), the night experience in a traditional setting, the neighborhood – our best experience in Japan. Everything was perfect.

Everything was so perfect and thoughtful, we would give an 11 if it were possible. Just amazing. Go ahead! Nothing, try this experience at least one night during your stay! It is Japan how we dream it.

There was so much to like about Hanare: the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, public bath access and breakfast made for an easy stay, and the neighborhood was peaceful and well‑connected. We did need to be very conscious of how loud we were being after 10 pm. Overall, very hard to find anything to complain about!
