The hotel offered a very reasonable price and an ideal spot next to the train station, close to the seafront. The bed was tiny, the toilet didn’t flush, the fixtures and fittings were desperately old, and the place needed a redecorating.

The location was perfect – in the center, near the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed at Hotel du Nord more than five times and it’s usually very quiet. The hotel is clean, even though it’s old. The bathrooms need some touch‑ups.

The location was great, close to the train station, not far from city life and the sea, and the room was air‑conditioned. The female receptionist didn’t speak any English, not even a single word. The room had an unpleasant smell, and the ceiling was dirty and mouldy.

The city centre spot and friendly staff were great, and the air‑conditioning was spot‑on! The only downside was the tiny toiletries – a mini soap and a pre‑packed bath set that barely covered a shower. A refillable option would have been more comfortable.
