I stayed in a really nice spot right in the middle of the city, enjoyed a good breakfast, and the staff were helpful. The scooter was great for short trips and the price was very reasonable.

The bed was comfortable, the hot water worked, the breakfast was good, and the staff were welcoming. It was quiet through the night until prayer time, and we slept very well.

The location is close to Pasar Pagi in the town center. No soap was provided—neither solid nor liquid—an absolute must for any hotel! I’ve stayed in hotels worldwide for over 30 years and this is the first time this has happened. Even the soap in the dining room washbasin was so diluted it was a joke. Soap can’t be such an expensive item in Rentapao town center! The hotel didn’t clearly state whether soap was provided or not in its listing.

The host was very kind, welcoming, and helpful with scooter rentals, connecting us to a guide, and arranging transfers. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit juice. The large house in the city center sits on a quiet lane with a garden and an open terrace on the top floor, giving a relaxed vibe. Laundry is available for a small extra fee. The bathroom looked a bit worn, but the shower had functional hot water.

The location is great if you don't have a scooter, close to everything. The room was fairly large and most of the time we had hot water. Breakfast was light but bananas were available all day. If you speak French, I strongly recommend going through the guide Oki from Toraja Sulawesi.
