The breakfast was surprisingly good – European dishes, fresh watermelon and other fruit were on offer. Unfortunately the front desk was a nightmare: after a long flight we waited over an hour to get a key, the staff didn’t speak English, and the Wi‑Fi was blocked so we couldn’t even use Google Translate. They also forgot that breakfast was included, didn’t give us change, and kept calling us late at night with robotic receipts.

The hotel itself was fine, but the temperature inside was freezing and the rooms were filled with cigarette smoke. It felt uncomfortable despite the decent facilities.

Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide range of Chinese and European dishes, and the location near the train station was convenient. However, the surrounding area gets deserted after dark, so finding dinner is a challenge, and the hotel only serves breakfast. The tech setup is over the top – lights that won’t turn off and a QR‑code payment system that makes buying a simple drink a hassle, though the reception staff were helpful with that and even with getting a taxi.
