“Totally relaxing few days away.”

We found the lodge incredibly soothing and tranquil, especially since it’s dog‑friendly and the woodland walks were amazing. There were plenty of bins for doggy bags and many wash stations to clean boots and pets. Getting around to nearby sights was convenient. The hot‑tub area offered plenty of privacy, and it was a delight to watch squirrels scampering through the trees while soaking. The cabins were well maintained, and staff were available on site if needed. After a hectic few weeks, we truly relaxed and unwound here—we’ll definitely return. One sofa in the lodge was a bit uncomfortable but still usable. After leaving the hot tub, the decline felt very slippery; maybe mats or a rail would help.

“Not the best could do with renovation and a good clean.”

The stay was calm and peaceful on Thursday night, and checking in was straightforward. However, we had no internet for 24 hours, and the party‑goers and other guests made noise most of Friday night. The cabin itself was dusty, showing signs of age, and the decking was rotten. The hot‑tub lights didn’t work, and the cover was heavy to remove and replace. The shower was weak, making it hard to feel fully wet while washing. The sofa was dirty and broken, and there was no fan in the cabin, so it got very hot and made sleeping difficult. Opening the windows only amplified the noise from neighbors.

“Woodland adventure!”

The hot tub was excellent, and the location in the woods offered plenty of nice walks. The accommodation felt comfortable and homey, so I’d definitely return. The single beds were not the most comfortable.

The chlorine in the hot tub was too strong, burning my eyes. The lodge was very dirty, with shorts left over from the previous tenant. It wasn’t welcoming at all, and I was very disappointed.

“Okay but certainly not 8.5 rating”

The beds were comfortable and the shower was good. We arrived at 7 pm to find no towels, no tea towel, and no sponge—items that were listed as provided. We messaged here and emailed the contact in the handbook but never received a reply, so we had to go back to the shops after a day of traveling to get these items. A dirty plate and mushrooms in the sink made it even harder to clean, and the outdoor table was filthy, covered in spilled drinks and residue. The place also had an unwashed smell.
