“This is an excellent homestay for those travelling with pets and needing driver accommodation.”
A huge apartment with a very roomy living area and a nice sofa set. Two bedrooms each had their own toilet, which was handy because the driver could stay there too; he was happy to have a comfortable spot for two nights. The owner, Mr. Srikanth, loves dogs and our beagle Siya felt right at home, and walking her around the cross roads was easy. Even though there were many stray dogs, a stick was enough to keep them at bay. Mr. Srikanth was very helpful, telling me on several occasions that I could call him anytime, even at odd hours, and he had been supportive since the booking. The homestay sits in a central location with many shops and restaurants nearby, including the popular Prasanthi, and it’s just a few minutes’ drive from the mighty Godavari river, a major tourist attraction. On the downside, there is no parking inside the property, but an open space nearby can be used. A gas stove was present but there was no gas cylinder. Mr. Srikanth had a 20‑litre RO water jar, yet the dispenser was broken and unusable, so a bit more attention to such details would help. One bedroom door needed a lot of force to open, especially when my wife closed it tightly. I felt a mild shock from the toilet taps, though my wife did not notice it. The toilets also lack a place to hang clothes, and a floor wiper would be useful. Mr. Srikanth promised to address these issues.
