The innkeepers were really welcoming and the breakfast each morning was lovely, especially the nice area to eat. The stairs were steep and hard to climb, so next time I'd pick a lower floor.

The place sits just 5 minutes from downtown and the scenery is gorgeous, with a beautiful garden and great views; the rooms are cozy, spotless, and the staff are helpful. Breakfast was well served, though it leaned heavily on sweet dishes and lacked savory options. The property is great, but the nights were restless because the bed is too small for two, the mattress is uncomfortable, the pillows are too high, and the bulky AC unit sits right across from the bed.

Everything was quiet and peaceful, exactly what we wanted for a relaxing stay, and the location was spot‑on. Nothing to complain about!

The staff made the stay worthwhile, the facilities are solid, and the grounds around the hotel are unique. People with mobility issues might find the topography challenging.

We spent two nights at McKinley Edwards Inn in Bryson City on our April trip and loved the peaceful, historic vibe. The mountain setting is stunning with views everywhere, and the private terrace with rocking chairs in front of our room was perfect for sunrise and sunset. Our room was spacious, clean, and well furnished, featuring a fridge, two chairs, and a small table that made winding down after a day of exploring easy. Jaimi and Ryan were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was included and served buffet‑style each morning, with baked eggs in various styles, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The only drawback was the spotty WiFi, which was sometimes unreliable. Overall, the quiet setting and overall atmosphere were appreciated. It’s a charming, relaxing mountain spot, especially if you want to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. The WiFi was somewhat spotty, and compared to other places we stayed on this trip, the price felt slightly higher for the amenities offered.
