The hotel’s atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet, the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were helpful and kind. Overall, it felt very clean and well cared for, but the shower and the bathroom floor were a bit dirty.

The location and cleanliness were good, yet I couldn't turn off the hidden lights on the roof and the fridge made a very annoying noise; breakfast was poor.

The location was unclear for guests arriving at the hotel; a large sign on the building says “Hotel Carmel” but it isn’t obvious while driving, and there’s no parking. A sign on the sidewalk or at the entrance with the hotel’s name would help. The staff were excellent and welcoming, the rooms were small but excellent and clean, and breakfast was very good.
