Staff are nice and accommodating. They let me leave my luggage in lobby after checking out and marked it for safety. The breakfast included is a bento box and green tea that is exactly the same every day. My room had a few stains on the wall, looked like food splatters

I slept on futons for a cheap price and the sleep was excellent. The place is really cute, clean, and very well organized. The staff were exceptional and everyone spoke at least a little English. The location is in the city center, a quiet and characteristic neighborhood, but it’s still 10 minutes away from the main transport links.

The hotel is central to Ueno shops and restaurants. However, there was a fowl odor in the reception area that smelled like body odor, and it was hard to communicate with the staff.

Location was good, but the breakfast‑included stay gave us a rice‑ball bento to eat in the room; considering the price difference, we would have bought it at the station ourselves.

Even though the weather was terrible, they let us into the room before the official check‑in time, but the room only had a single light and we couldn’t adjust its brightness.
