The surroundings were nice. It’s definitely not for everyone. The pension has various infrastructural shortcomings that are masked by a quasi‑artistic image.

The location was very unique and peaceful. Ljuba was very friendly and greeted us all when we arrived. We booked a room with a private bathroom, but the one we received was not private; people kept entering, using our belongings, and even our private (used) towel was stolen on the first day. The room could have been cleaner—it wasn’t even vacuumed properly. There were a lot of random items that looked like trash. The furniture was neglected and everything seemed broken. The whole shower was moldy and the drain kept clogging. In the kitchen the fridge was dirty and everything else didn’t look very clean either. As promised, we received towels, but three of them were small, meant for drying hair or hands, and were uncomfortable to use. One of the beds wasn’t even a bed at all but a mattress. Spiders and dust were everywhere. Even though it was supposed to be renovated, the work was poorly done.

We appreciated how roomy the house was and the friendly community feel that came from sharing the common areas and kitchen. It’s also close to the river, where you can cool off nicely. The building itself is old, but it’s just been renovated, and the overall experience of staying there remains pleasant.
