The location was great with an unobstructed view of Merano, and the garden with pool and lawn was quiet and well kept. Parking in the underground garage was included, and the room on the fourth floor was spacious, featuring a balcony overlooking Merano. However, the hotel’s facilities feel a bit dated, with carpeted floors in the rooms, corridors, and breakfast area. The breakfast was only three‑star level for us, and the value didn’t match the price.

The hotel’s location is excellent, and the multi‑course dinner tasted outstanding. On the downside, the property is old‑fashioned, and the wellness area is also outdated. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, so we were almost under the roof where it was uncomfortably warm and we had to sweat a lot. Breakfast could use improvements too: guests must cook their own eggs, which is cumbersome; the sausage seemed to have been stored for several days and was sometimes stale, and the wine served with dinner was sometimes warm. Even though a red card was placed on the door indicating no cleaning was needed, the room was still entered and cleaned—an absolute no‑no!

“Durchschnittlich und eher verbesserungsbedürftig.”

The food was generally average, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit old‑fashioned and could use some updates. The cleanliness in the larger rooms was lacking. The dinner was neither outstanding nor terrible. The breakfast buffet should be more substantial.
