The room looked immaculate, the lady at reception was lovely, the location was good, and the view looked across toward the water. However, when I entered the room the fans were on full speed; as the evening cooled, I lowered them, only to discover the unit smelled musty and my sinuses flared up. I took Sudafed for short‑term relief, but needed more. In the lounge I found the throw cushions smelled of dog, so I threw them away, yet the lounge still had a dog odor, preventing me from sitting there. I eventually went to bed, but the bed smelled even more musty than the room. I took more Sudafed and tried to sleep, but after a few moments my nose ran like a tap and I sneezed continuously. I got up and slept at the dining table until about 0430, when I could no longer stay in the room. I packed up and left; after about half an hour away from the room I began to feel better, and after a few hours I had fully recovered.
