“Echt Roemeens hotel met restaurant.”
The lovely roof over the terrace. This is a tricky review. Basically everything was fine: the room was spacious, the bed slept well, the bathroom was roomy and had a wonderful shower. But … the price‑performance compared to all the hotels in Romania we’ve had so far didn’t measure up. The room was “too modern” (70s style), it didn’t fit the time. The curtains didn’t fit at all! Half a window wasn’t even covered. Everything was grey, in velvet and with shiny aluminium. But I have no complaints. Everything was good. But not for that amount! The restaurant served good food. The drinks weren’t expensive. The food was reasonable. Breakfast was really bad. Quality was not, but it was what you got for the amount you had to pay. The staff spoke only Romanian. For me that was fantastic, because I could finally put what I learned into practice, but this can’t really be. Someone should be able to speak English in such a hotel. The location was wrong. In Booking the house number is 18 (in the center) while it should be 19 (far outside the center). Heated breakfast: quality (plate‑service) and price. It was little and the coffee was paid per cup. That wasn’t included in the breakfast. The location: this was wrong. In Booking the house number is 18 (in the center) while it should be 19 (far outside the center).
