The hotel sits in a great spot, the service, lodging, food and staff are all absolutely fine. We were very satisfied and use the hotel repeatedly. Because Feldafing only has one hotel‑type accommodation, the place can charge a high price; comparable hotels elsewhere are at least 30 % cheaper.

A solid old inn, a bit worn but clean, charming, with friendly hosts and courteous staff, excellent food and fair prices. We were passing through and the two nights were perfect. The breakfast isn’t special but acceptable, and free parking is available in the courtyard. The location right next to the station was misjudged; we expected quiet at night but trains ran almost all night, especially those that don’t stop in Feldafing but are still loud. Our room faced the street, so every train could be heard. It’s astonishing how many trains operate at night. Sleeping with the window open was impossible. There is no air‑conditioning, nor a refrigerator. The furnishings are a bit sparse, but the price justifies it.

The only hotel in Feldafing. Late check‑in at 4 PM, no one was there before 4. No elevator, so I had to haul my bags up two flights of steep stairs. There was no coffee or refrigerator in the room, no shampoo or conditioner, just a single bar of soap. Breakfast was fine except for the absence of fried eggs—only boiled ones were offered. The restaurant menu is limited and pricey.

The Gasthaus sits a bit farther from the lake—you’ll have to hike 20 minutes—but it’s right around the corner from the train station, making it a great pick for train travelers. The owners are friendly and welcoming. My single room matched my expectations—minimalist and cozy, nothing fancy. The real highlight is the restaurant/Biergarten, where you can enjoy a pleasant evening under century-old linden trees. Breakfast is served there too, and it’s included in the price. The downside is that it’s quite pricey, even in the off‑season.
