The spot was convenient, close to all the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was okay, with a decent selection of options. The building itself was in bad shape: walls had holes that nobody fixed, beds were hard, pillows lumpy, blankets thin and old. The air conditioning in our room kept shutting off, and the unit in the hallway leaked so badly that the floor was soaked right up to our doorway. One of our rooms wasn’t cleaned properly—vacuuming seemed to have been skipped for days, and the shower hadn’t been cleaned in a while. A random woman was giving swim lessons to non‑guests in the pool and kept taking pictures of my kids even after we asked her to stop.
