“A lovely stay in charming Sa Dec”

Sa Dec has a special charm that is hard to describe, not only because of Huynh Thuy Le’s historic house, famous through Marguerite Duras, the beautiful local market, the renowned Kien An Cung Chinese temple, or the nearby flower village of Tan Quy Dong. La Maison itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. It sits in a quiet area, well‑located between the flower village and the city centre, making it easy to explore both by bike. They lend bicycles, which is perfect for discovering local food and enjoying the relaxed, interesting vibe of Sa Dec. The city feels calm, authentic, and full of character, something I can’t quite put into words. Ngoc was a fantastic host, helping with everything from restaurant recommendations to organising my trip to Xeo Quyt and my transfer to Long Xuyen. Thank you, Ngoc! I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

The host was extremely kind and helped me with everything I needed. We stayed on the phone and she met every request or need, helping me organise visits and moves. It’s great to be able to use bicycles to explore the city. The building had no staff at night, so when there were no other guests I was alone in the whole building. There is a shared kitchen as described, but there is no table to eat there, so you have to bring your food to the room where there is a small desk for support.

It was clean and comfortable, and contacting the owner was easy; you’ll need a motorbike or bicycle because it’s outside the city centre. Everything was fine.
