The rooms were very clean and quiet, the food was good, and the staff—especially Julie and Gail—were friendly. The main building’s rooms and toilets could use a fresh coat of paint, and a few flies were hovering around.

Lovely, charming place. Top restaurant with seasonal and local products. Nice menu, not only those hamburgers and fish & chips 😉. Very good wine menu. Breakfast also top. Nice garden 🤞. We wish the new owner all succes !! We ( hope) to return with friends

I loved this place. A friendly man greeted me on arrival and helped with my luggage. The property was clean, well equipped, and I couldn’t find any faults. The lady who served breakfast each day was lovely and even provided soya milk for my cereal even though I hadn’t ordered it beforehand. I ended up staying later than booked because I brought my family in for Sunday lunch, which was amazing. I’ll definitely stay here again; it’s only a 5‑minute drive from my family in Godalming and offers great value for money. Everything was great.

We booked a last‑minute stay while heading to Bath from Essex. It was convenient to park right next to or within a short walk of the hotel and unload our gear. The room was spacious and the shower area was well equipped. A kettle, complimentary tea, coffee, and milk cartons were provided, along with all the washing supplies—no hassle, just settle in and relax. The setting was peaceful, yet only a short drive to Godalming. We parked at Sainsbury’s for 3‑hour parking and walked along the canal. Breakfast at the pub was excellent, cooked to perfection, and the staff were very friendly. We didn’t get to eat because we met someone Saturday night, but on Sunday we walked along the canal and saw the car park fill up quickly for lunch, which meant they must be cooking great roasts. We’ll definitely visit again and make time to try the food. Many thanks.
