The staff were friendly and the place sits close to Semawang Beach and Danau Tamblingan Street. Water was often black because they were fixing the water tower, and the bathroom had a bad smell. When the water cleared, the pressure was so weak I never washed my long hair there. Across my balcony, a surveillance camera watched everything, trading privacy for security. I only stayed because I had a 10‑day work trip on a tight budget; otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. I’m not staying there again.

The place was very welcoming with a small pool to relax in. The staff were very courteous and available at all hours. It’s just a few steps from the excellent restaurant FROM HERE BALI and only a few minutes’ walk from the beach (about 15). The rooms appeared clean, but the sheets were old and worn, scented but with yellow stains and holes; we asked for new ones and were given other clean sheets that were also stained.

The staff were kind, the pool was beautiful, it’s a 10‑minute walk to the beach and a 20‑minute drive to the airport—I’ll come back!
