Penzion Crystal

This was my fifth stay at this property. It’s an ideal base for returning after climbing, having dinner (the kitchen is available), and going to bed. Breakfasts have always been okay, but this time everything was cold (hot dogs, eggs), even though we were on time. The breakfast staff were very unpleasant; they made a favor for another guest by reheating her fried eggs. Even a ten‑year‑old child sitting next to us complained that the hot dogs were cold. The ladies at breakfast were rushing around with a trash basket in the dining room because they were in a hurry to clean rooms. They even entered my bathroom when I was there, thinking no one was around (it was 9:00 am). Until now the staff had been friendly and helpful, but these two ladies now are complete incompetence and a failure.

I always love returning to the Crystal pension. Its location between Poprad and the High Tatras is ideal, the price/value ratio is excellent, the environment is clean, the breakfasts are tasty, and the staff are very pleasant. I will definitely come back again.

Breakfast 10/10, Location 10/10, Staff 10/10. Parking 0/10 – we had to coordinate with Polish guests who were leaving at 4:00 the next day at 22:30. The owner should think about a parking solution; this is the biggest drawback of the pension. There were no slippers, so we bought them in Poprad. Towels were insufficient – we ran out of hand towels. The room was slightly stuffy and it wasn’t ventilated.
