The place is in a great spot, the building is beautiful and sits in a lovely garden. It’s very clean and fragrant. The only comment is about parking: on Saturday after 4 pm we took the last spot, and with full occupancy I don’t know if everyone will find a free space.

Clean and excellent. Locally situated.

The location was perfect for us, close to the friends we were visiting and near the town centre, just a bit off the beaten path, tucked through the arch and very quiet. Abingdon is a charming town. The TV was too fancy for my simple mind and we struggled to use it! Also the towel rail in the en suite felt a bit too modern and techy; we needed a plain manual. It felt odd having no staff at reception. There wasn’t enough milk, but I rummaged through the cupboard in the reception area and found more.

The shower is small and cramped. There is no staff to talk to and no breakfast. The room is uncomfortable, the side of the bed has no wardrobe but a kind of awkward cupboard. The room is cramped and uncomfortable. There is no milk for the English tea.

The location was great for me traveling to Culham, there were lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was large, the bed really comfy and the shower powerful. The communal steamers weren’t where the booklet said, so I had to go to a different floor to find one.
